Cranberry Gravy recipe

This cranberry gravy is perfect for Christmas but would be delicious all year round with turkey. It's a basic red wine and stock gravy, with some cranberry sauce stirred in at the end for a punch of fruity flavour. Add fresh herbs to taste.

  • 500ml red wine
  • 500ml turkey or chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp. cranberry jelly
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • Salt and pepper

  1. Boil the red wine and stock together until the liquid reduces by 2/3.

  2. Whisk in the cranberry jelly and the butter, then simmer for another 5 minutes or so before seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Some diced bacon and mushrooms would be a great addition to this gravy. Recipe serves 6.
